3,035 Posts To Be Filled In TGSRTC

The State government has given its nod for recruitment for 3,035 vacant posts in the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC).

The government gave the green signal for the filling up of all the posts proposed by the higher officials of the corporation.

Of the 3,035, 2,000 are driver posts, 743 are Shramik posts, 114 are Deputy Superintendent (Mechanic) posts, 84 are Deputy Superintendent (Traffic) posts, 25 are Depot Manager / Assistant Traffic Manager posts, 23 are Assistant Engineer (Civil) posts, 15 are Assistant Mechanical Engineer posts, 11 are Section Officer (Civil) posts, 7 are Medical Officer (General) posts and 7 are Medical Officer (Specialist) posts.

State Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar expressed his happiness over the government's approval for the recruitment for the 3,035 posts. He thanked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, and Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka for the approval.

"Since the formation of Telangana State, not a single job notification has been issued for the TGSRTC, and our government is filling up the vacancies by giving a big push to the public transport system. With this new blood, the public transport system in the State will be further strengthened," he said.

He also said the organisation was procuring new buses in collaboration with the State government and in line with the increased rush with the implementation of the Mahalakshmi scheme. He said that the appointments were being carried out in tune with the additional manpower requirements that these new buses would entail.

He said the 3,035 posts would be filled up as soon as possible.
