2,322 Nursing Appointments In 2 Days: Rajanarasimha
The Telangana health minister said that the process of filling an additional 2,322 nursing positions would be completed within the next two days.

Telangana Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha today announced that the process of filling an additional 2,322 nursing positions would be completed within the next two days.
The minister attended the Safe Motherhood Day celebrations held at the Midwifery Training Institute in Boyaguda, an event conducted under the Praja Palana Pragathi Pranalika initiative. On the occasion, he said that the State government was prioritising the recruitment of nursing professionals in hospitals, and that over the past two years the government had strengthened the healthcare system by filling more than 10,000 vacancies, the majority of which were nursing roles.
"We are establishing new nursing colleges to enhance opportunities for students. To support international career prospects, we are also facilitating English, German and Japanese language training for the nursing students," the minister said.
Rajanarasimha also said that the government was enhancing midwifery services in the State to promote natural births, and that as part of the initiative, midwifery training had been provided to 370 nurses.
"We will also establish midwifery training institutes in government nursing colleges, and work towards decreasing the number of Caesarean deliveries," he said.
