"139 Rapists" Woman Retracts Statement, Says Complaint False

The self-proclaimed rape victim hailing from Miryalaguda of Nalgonda who had created a sensation in the entire country by lodging a complaint of rape against 139 people has now retracted her charges.

She said that she had filed a false complaint against many of the 139 people.

She also said that neither TV anchor Pradeep Machiraju nor actor Krishnudu had anything to do with the case.

Addressing media persons at the Somajiguda Press Club along with the representatives of dalit and tribal organizations including Manda Krishna Madiga, she said that she was tendering an apology to all those who had been named falsely by her in her complaint.

The woman said that she had lodged the complaint following a lot of pressure to do so by one Dollar Bhai alias Rajasekhar Reddy.

She alleged that she had been raped repeatedly by Reddy and others, and that during the process he had taken several photos and videos of her. He then started torturing her physically and mentally asking her to file cases against the 139 people including some celebrities and politicians, to be able to extract money from them.

She claimed that Reddy had threatened to even kill her if she didn't follow his orders, and that she had lodged the complaint as she was left with no option.

Speaking in the same press conference, BC leader Madiga said that about 40% of the people named by the self-proclaimed victim were innocent, and that two persons, a Meesala Suman and Dollar Bhai, were the main culprits and needed to be arrested.

He said that he was intervening since cases had been filed against innocent people under the SC/SC Atrocities Act, and that when they were proved innocent, the entire community would be blamed for misusing the act.
