12 New Zonal Commissioners Assume Charge
The number of GHMC zones has been officially doubled from six to 12, and the number of circles has been increased from 30 to 60.

Following the release of the final notification expanding the number of zones in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) from six to 12, the government issued orders appointing Zonal Commissioners for the newly created zones.
The appointed officials today formally assumed charge.
In the presence of GHMC Commissioner R V Karnan, Anurag Jayanti assumed charge as the Rajendranagar Zonal Commissioner, G Mukunda Reddy as the Golconda Zonal Commissioner, Apoorv Chauhan as the Kukatpally Zonal Commissioner, K Chandrakala as the Shamshabad Zonal Commissioner, Radhika Gupta as the Uppal Zonal Commissioner, Ravi Kiran as the Secunderabad Zonal Commissioner, Priyanka Ala as the Khairatabad Zonal Commissioner, Sanchit Gangwar as the Malkajgiri Zonal Commissioner, Borkade Hemant Sahadev Rao as the Serilingampally Zonal Commissioner, Sandeep Kumar Jha as the Quthbullapur Zonal Commissioner, Hemanth Keshav Patil as the L B Nagar Zonal Commissioner and S Srinivas Reddy as the Charminar Zonal Commissioner.
The final notification on GHMC ward delimitation was released on Thursday, increasing the number of wards to 300. The number of GHMC zones has been doubled from six to 12, and the number of circles has been increased from 30 to 60. Uppal, Quthbullapur, Malkajgiri, Shamshabad, Golconda and Rajendranagar have been formed as new zones.
New zonal offices have been established in the circle offices. The Golconda Zonal Commissioner's office has been set up at Abids.
