GHMC Solved Many Problems In City With Ease: Mayor
B Rammohan claimed that the GHMC solved many challenges including drinking water problems, bad roads due to the recent floods, and others in 2016.

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Mayor Bonthu Rammohan made a huge claim by stating that the municipal body solved many challenges including drinking water problems, the recent floods, bad roads, and others in the year 2016, without much effort.
Rammohan hoisted the national flag at the GHMC's central office on Thursday on the occasion of the 68th Republic Day celebrations. Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy and Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin also attended the program along with several others including Additional Commissioners Advait Kumar Singh, Ramakrishna Rao, Kennedy and Ravi Kiran, Zonal Commissioners Harichandana, Srinivas Reddy, Raghu Prasad and Gangadhar Reddy, CCP Devender Reddy, CEs Suresh and Subhash, and Deputy Commissioners and other officials.
Speaking on the occasion, Rammohan said that the sanitation works improved with the collection of wet and dry waste separately from the people by distributing 44 lakh dustbins.
Janardhan Reddy said that Hyderabad was the first city among 4,041 cities across the nation to segregate wet and dry waste and sending them for recycling.
Reddy said that the GHMC was moving forward to improve infrastructure under the tag, "Tsunami Model". He also pointed out that Mahatma Gandhi's principles were being adopted by the municipal authority to achieve maximum cleanliness.
On the occasion, Rammohan, Baba and Janardhan Reddy handed over bank linkage cheques worth Rs. 214 crores to Self Help Groups (SHG). They also handed over job appointment orders and prostheses to handicapped people on the occasion.
