12% Muslims Reservation Will Affect Hindu BCs: BJP

G Kishan Reddy, BJP floor leader in the Telangana Assembly, today observed that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's efforts for securing 12% reservations for Muslims would backfire on minority Hindus.
Speaking to the media here, Kishan Reddy claimed that religion-based reservation was totally against the spirit of Constitution, and recalled that the High Court had rejected the attempts of the previous YSR government when it tried to provide 4% reservations to the Muslim community.
But now, the Chief Minister was now aiming to reserve 12% seats in key sectors to Muslims, he lamented, and said that such a decision would do gross injustice to BCs of the Hindu community in the State. He also accused KCR of running his government against the vision's of B R Ambedkar.
BJP Urban District President Ravu Padma, Rural President Edla Ashok Reddy, former MLAs V Sriramulu and Satyanarayanreddy, State leaders Vijayalakshmi, Chandupatla, Satyapal Reddy and Chinta Sambamurthy, Urban District General-Secretary Kolun Santosh Reddy, and Jagdishwar, Dilip Nayak, Kumar, Jannu Madhu, Bhavani, Ravila, and others were present.
