Reiterating that Muslims would get 12% reservations, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao expressed his concerns over their economic conditions.
During a short discussion on Muslims welfare and reservations, KCR spoke at length and stated that reservations to Muslims would be provided emulating Tamil Nadu.
He accused the previous governments of neglecting Muslims and promised that the TRS government would provide 12% reservations and take all other measures for their welfare.
The Justice Rajendra Kumar Sachar Committee came up with a report stating that more than half of the Muslim community, whose population was huge, was living below poverty line. He suggested that the members shun doubts on the commitment of the State government towards Muslims.
Stating that WAKF Board would get judicial powers soon, KCR announced funds to Falaknuma Degree & Junior Colleges.
Subsidies would be given to Muslim farmers for their produce, he added.
