Jobs For 70% Of Graduating Students: BRAOU VC
Dr B R Ambedkar Open University entered into an MoU with TCS to give industry-relevant training to students that it claims will get jobs for 70% of them.
Dr B R Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) at its campus today to give industry-relevant training to its students.
The MoU was signed by Dr L Vijaya Krishna Reddy, Registrar of BRAOU, and Krishna Dundigalla, Executive Director (South India) of TCS, in the presence of Prof Ghanta Chakrapani, Vice-Chancellor of BRAOU.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Chakrapani said that the university's primary goal was to equip students with employable skills and enhance their job prospects through the BRAOU-TCS iON Integrated Job Achievement Program.
The program, open to all students enrolled in the B A, B Com and B Sc courses from the academic year 2025-26, will be conducted online through the TCS iON Digital Learning Hub in English. It will include expert video sessions, discussion forums, live chats, industry assignments, modular practice packages and mentored industry projects.
Professor Chakrapani said that more than 70% of the participating students were expected to secure placements in reputed multinational companies upon completion. He said that the initiative reflected BRAOU's commitment to bridging the skill gap and preparing students for global employment opportunities.
