Several Brahmin leaders have demanded that the State Government ban the film "A Woman In Brahmanism".
A delegation of Brahmin leaders, cutting across party lines and led by Civil Supplies D Sridhar Babu, on Tuesday met Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at his chambers seeking immediate steps to ban the film. They also demanded action against the director and producer of the film which portrays women in an objectionable manner.
Former MLC Gidugu Rudraraju, TDP spokesperson Sudhish Rambhotla, BJP spokesman N V S S Prabhaker and other leaders were part of the delegation. They urged the Chief Minister to take measures to remove the movie clippings from Youtube and other social networking websites. They threatened to stage a protest if an immediate ban was not imposed on the film and action was not taken against the film makers. (INN)
