Financial aid has been extended, under the Mission Vatsalya (a Union government initiative aimed at child welfare) scheme, to the family of the boy injured during the benefit show of the film
Pushpa 2.
Following the accident at the Sandhya theatre during the special screening of the movie, due to the efforts of Child Rights Commission Chairperson Kothakota Seetha Dayakar Reddy, the boy's elder sister is now receiving financial assistance through the scheme.
As part of the initiative, the girl is entitled to Rs 4,000 per month until she turns 18. So far, a total of Rs 12,000, covering the last three months, has been directly credited to the family's account to support her education.
The family expressed their gratitude to the Child Rights Commission for extending timely support.
In a statement, the Commission said that the initiative reflected the humanitarian principles of the government's approach to supporting victims, and reiterated its commitment to assisting the families of other child victims through the scheme.
