Notification For Public Opinion On New Districts

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali released a draft notification seeking public opinion on the delimitation of State's districts.
Hyderabad | 22nd August 2016
Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali today released a draft notification for eliciting public opinion on the creation of new districts in the State.

Talking to the media followed by a presentation on the delimitation of the existing districts, in the presence of Chief Commissioner Of Land Administration (CCLA) Raymond Peter and Principal Secretary Pradip Chandra at the Secretariat, Mahmood Ali released the document and requested the people to submit their suggestions and / or objections on the government website.

"People sacrificed a lot to achieve statehood for Telangana, and helped the TRS' ascension to power. The only way to pay them back is by fulfilling the promises that we made in our manifesto. One of the promises includes the creation of new districts. Giving people a vote in this matter is the most democratic approach," he said.

A total of 27 new districts and 60 revenue divisions were mentioned in the draft, he said. Among the new districts proposed are Jayashankar, Hanumakonda, Jagtial, Kamareddy, Komaram Bheem, Kothagudem, Mahabubabad, Malkajgiri, Nagarkurnool, Nirmal, Peddapally, Sangareddy, Siddipet, Suryapet, Wanaparthy and Yadadri. And among the new revenue divisions are Bellampally, Bhainsa, Korutla, Hanamkonda, Huzurabad, Bhupalapalle, Wyra, Kodad, Achampet, Keesara, Toopran, Zaheerabad, Gajwel, Narayankhed and Banswada.

The objections and suggestions can be submitted on http://newdistrictsformation.telangana.gov.in/PublicObjectionsFiling.do.
