The Allahabad High Court has ruled that the disputed land in Ayodhya be divided into 3 parts - with the central portion being declared as Lord Ram's birthplace, another portion being given to the Wakf Board, and the third to Nirmohi Akhara.
The title suit filed by the Sunni Wakf Board has been dimissed.
The 3-judge special bench comprised Justice S U Khan, Sudhir Agarwal and D V Sarma, and the judgement runs into 8,000 pages. Lawyer Ravi Shankar Prasad, who read out the verdict, represents one of the parties.
Meanwhile, status quo will continue on the case for the next 3 months.
