Yuvraj Singh made a remarkable comeback after recovering from a rare germ cell cancer, in the 1st day of the Duleep Trophy semi-finals in Hyderabad.
Yuvraj scored an unbeaten 133 runs against Central Zone, which had scored scored 346 for 4, showing that he was back in form after his illness.
The Duleep Trophy at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Uppal, Hyderabad, saw Yuvraj hit 20 boundaries and 2 huge sixes that bought back the winning spirit into the North Zone.
North Zone skipper Shikhar Dhawan also played brilliantly, with a socre of 121.
Yuvraj, who is in Hyderabad for 4 days to play the Duleep Trophy semi-finals, is more than just delighted to be in the city.
"I love this place. I love Hyderabad and the people who always supported me in a big way," said Yuvraj.
He also expressed his wish to meet V V S Laxman, Saina Nehwal and Sania Mirza in town.
