Y S Sharmila today said that her party would contest in all the 119 Assembly constituencies in the upcoming Telangana elections.
She added that she herself would contest from the Paleru constituency of Khammam district.
There was a demand for her to contest from a second seat as well, she said, and added that people were demanding that she also field her husband Anil Kumar and mother Vijayamma from the State.
She said that both of them would also contest if required, and that there was a possibility of her contesting from Miryalaguda and her mother Vijayamma from Paleru.
She asked the party leaders to submit their applications for tickets.
Sharmila said that she had wanted to contest the Telangana Assembly elections in alliance with the Congress, and that she wanted to join hands with the party to ensure non-splitting of the anti-government votes. She said that she had decided to go it alone as she had not received any response from the Congress even after four months.
She said her party's manifesto is likely to be released in the next two days, and exuded confidence that her party would wrest power in Telangana.
