Nine days after the YSRCP launched its Jagananne Maa Bhavishyathu, a people's survey, top leaders including Housing Minister Jogi Ramesh, Tourism Minister R K Roja, Municipal Administration Minister Adimulapu Suresh and Rajya Sabha MP Mopidevi Venkata Ramana Rao addressed a press conference today to reveal the response so far.
They said that over 64 lakh households had participated and that over 49 lakh missed calls had been received so far, and that the data was being displayed on a huge LED screen put up at the party central office in Tadepalli.
Minister Ramesh said that the response so far was great.
"Till date, more than 64 lakh families have participated in this drive, and over 49 lakh missed calls have been received. This has been possible thanks to a huge and motivated grassroots cadre of more than 7 lakh YSRCP workers who have been visiting their areas on a daily basis. The results of the survey will be displayed at the end of the campaign in every constituency and cumulatively at the State level, but the trends so far suggest that the people have immense trust in the good governance by CM Jagan."
Giving the reason for the response, minister Suresh said, "People are satisfied with the rule of CM Jagan who has already fulfilled more than 98% of the promises he made in 2019. What Jagan has done is real development. He has made his entire investment into the people, which has put Andhra Pradesh on a fast-track to growth and prosperity. AP is topping the charts as far as economic growth is concerned. The per capita income of the State has become the highest in its history, and people across various segments are reaping the benefits of well thought out welfare policies."
MP Venkataramana said that Jagan had delivered good governance due to non-discrimination in welfare distribution.
"CM Jagan does not discriminate on the basis of caste, religion, region or political parties in the implementation of welfare schemes. Under the previous governments, if Rs 10 was promised to the people through welfare schemes, Rs 6 went to middlemen and brokers, and the beneficiary received only Rs 4. But today corruption has been completely eliminated as money is being deposited directly into the beneficiaries' accounts. This is what has been shared in the survey, and the public wants such transparency in the future, too."
Minister Roja said that Chandrababu Naidu was the real cancer impeding AP's progress. She slammed the opposition for demeaning the survey, which she claimed was in fact a reflection of the opinion of the people.
"I challenge Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan to declare what they have done for the poor. Recently, Naidu dared CM Jagan to a selfie challenge. Let me tell you, it wasn't a selfie, but it was a self-goal. Can he go to a poor man's house and take a selfie with him after what he has done to the State? His fake pictures on social media won't work. He is a failed politician, everyone knows that."
The YSRCP also conducted press briefings in all the district headquarters to apprise the people of the outcome of the survey.
