Extending moral support to the
indefinite hunger strike by Tirupati YSRC MLA Bhuma Karunakar Reddy, who is demanding that the government make Tirupati liquor-free, YSR Congress leaders in Tirupati have called for a one-day Tirupati bandh on Wednesday.
Talking to media persons, YSR Congress party leader Narayanaswamy appealed to all sections of people, including businesses and educational institutions, to voluntarily lend support to Bhuma Karunakar Reddy, and to help protect the sanctity of the temple.
He condemned the government for not responding to Bhuma Karunakar Reddy's hunger strike, which entered the 3rd day on Wednesday.
He alleged that the government's "indifferent attitude" exposes its irresponsible behavior towards people's problems.
Narayanaswamy said that Bhuma Karunakar Reddy would continue his fast until the government gives in to his demand and respects the people's wish in making Tirupati liquor-free. (INN)
