Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson N Tulasi Reddy, on Tuesday, predicted that the YSR Congress would disappear from the state after the by-election results are declared.
Talking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, Tulasi Reddy expressed confidence that the Congress would emerge victorious in all the 18 Assembly constituencies, and the Nellore Lok Sabha seat.
Stating that people would never trust candidates of the YSR Congress, he claimed that Jagan's candidates can never win the by-elections despite their "gimmicks".
Tulasi Reddy also dismissed Jagan's criticism of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, that he had diluted former CM Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's welfare schemes and programs.
Stating that Kiran Kumar Reddy had never diluted any schemes, he said that the CM has been continuing all of YSR's welfare schemes in letter and spirit, despite financial constraints.
He challenged Jagan to an open debate on the alleged dilution of schemes, at any place and at any time.
He also complained that even though the Congress had respected YSR by naming the Kadapa district after him, Jagan was bringing disrepute to his father's name. (INN)
