Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today compared YSRCP president and Leader Of Opposition Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to the notorious self-styled "
Messenger Of God" Ram Rahim of Dera Sachcha Soudha, who was convicted on rape charges today.
Interacting with the media after the TDP won the Nandyal Assembly by-election, in which the YSRCP was trounced, Naidu referred to Ram Rahim's nefarious activities and spoke of how he had converted his Dera into a den of criminal activities.
"If there is a Dera Baba in Haryana, here there is a Jagan Baba", he quipped.
Lashing out at the YSRCP chief, Naidu spoke of how Reddy had stooped very low during the election campaigning openly saying that he (Naidu) should be shot dead on the streets. Even after the matter was brought to the notice of Election Commission, Jagan continued his diatribes by stating that the CM should be hanged, he pointed out.
The Chief Minister also said that Reddy had degraded even the Legislative Assembly by encouraging his party MLAs to create a ruckus and disturbance, and prevent the smooth functioning of the House.
However, the people of Nandyal had seen through the "unbecoming" acts of Reddy and taught him a bitter lesson by defeating his party nominee, Naidu said.
"The people have pinned their hopes on the development activities of the TDP and have rejected and denounced the destructive agenda of the YSRCP," he stated.
