YSR Congress Party leader Ambati Rambabu today slammed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for terming Y S Jaganmohan Reddy's deeksha (fast) for special status for AP as bogus.
Talking to the media on Monday, Rambabu alleged that Naidu was noted for his wrong accounts and deceiving the people always.
Even if they did not appreciate Jagan's protest, the ruling party leaders should not dub it as a bogus deeksha, he said.
"The TDP leaders are drunk with power, and will bite the dust when the people teach them a lesson," he fumed.
Though the YSRCP supremo had been on fast for six days now, the AP ministers were silent, he alleged. "Are the ministers not seeing the deeksha and the deteriorating health of Jaganmohan Reddy day after day?" he asked.
He expressed surprise over Naidu and his colleagues having doubts over Jagan's deeksha, and charged the government with mocking a genuine protest for special status to Andhra Pradesh.
The State government should exert pressure on the Centre to accord special status to AP, he demanded.
