TDP supremo and former AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today slammed Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for the arrest of state government employees who were going to take part in a Chalo Vijayawada program.
Naidu said that it was cruel to arrest the employees just trying to agitate for their demands. Alleging that the police had arrested the employees like they were terrorists, Naidu asked if the employees were not part of the state and the government. And detaining government teachers in their schools amounted to nothing but insulting the teachers in front of their student, he said.
Claiming that no other state government behaved like Jagan's government with respect to the problems of its employees, Naidu asked if the employees did not have any right to question the government over the "fraud" done to them in the name of the PRC.
Asking the CM to adopt a logical approach on the issue instead of acting like a dictator, Naidu suggested that the CM answer the questions raised by the employees, and withdraw the controversial PRC in order to placate them.
