» YSR Congress Party's 1st Plenary In Idupulapaya: Preparations On
YSR Cong Party To Hold Plenary On 8-9
Preparations are on at the YSR family's Idupulapaya estate for Jagan's YSR Congress Party's first ever plenary, which will see over 7,000 party workers converge.
As the birth anniversary of late Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy nears (on 8 July), his estate at Idupulapaya is abuzz with political activity that shows, at the very least, immense financial backing.
His son, Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, who quit the Congress to set up his own party, the YSR Congress Party, will preside over the 2-day plenary to be held at the family's estate there.
Large-scale preparations are on at the estate for the party's first ever plenary, which will see over 7,000 party workers converge at one place. Massive canopies and endless rows of seating have been set up for the event, and roads leading to Idupulapaya are lined with hoardings and banners announcing the plenary.
The first day of the event will see tributes being paid to YSR's samadhi, and the second day will involve discussions on party policy.
However, whether party President Y S Jaganmohan Reddy will make his stand on Telangana clear is a question that remains unanswered.
