Yadadri Power Plant To Be Completed By May 2025: Bhatti
The Telangana Deputy CM said that the plant would add 4,000 MW of electricity to the grid.

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, alongside ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Uttam Kumar Reddy, today conducted an aerial inspection of the Yadadri power plant.
Following the survey, the ministers inaugurated a train carrying coal to the plant from the take-off point at the power plant station in Dameracherla.
Addressing the State's energy outlook on the occasion, the Deputy CM announced plans to meet rising power demands.
"We successfully integrated power from Stage 1 of the Yadadri thermal power plant into the grid today. The plant will be fully completed by May 2025, adding 4,000 MW of electricity to the grid," he said.
The minister said that the demand for electricity in Telangana was estimated to hit 22,288 MW by 2028-29 and 31,809 MW by 2034-35. "The State government is implementing strategic measures to ensure uninterrupted supply to meet future demands," he said.
Vikramarka claimed that the State was undertaking initiatives to expand energy production sustainably, saying, "Telangana is committed to providing high-quality power for industry, agriculture and households. To minimize pollution, we plan to generate 20,000 MW of green energy. A new energy policy, crafted through consultations with experts and stakeholders, will soon be introduced in the Legislative Assembly."
