Y S Sharmila Meets DGP, Seeks Security For Her Padayatra

YSRTP founder-president Y S Sharmila today met Director General of Police M Mahender Reddy and submitted a representation urging him to provide security for her padayatra.

She told the DGP that the police had let go of those who had attacked her and her party activists earlier in Lingagiri village of Warangal Rural district, and that her party had to bring the victims to Hyderabad for treatment.

Sharmila also told the DGP that she had been arrested by the city police again later just because she was going to meet the Chief Minister at Pragathi Bhavan, and asked the top cop if friendly policing was only for the ruling TRS leaders.

She said that she would resume her padayatra on December 4 and continue it till December 14.

For the uninitiated, Sharmila was arrested twice in the last few days.
