The indefinite hunger strike by YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy entered the third day on Monday.
Jagan had embarked on his indefinite fast at his party office at Lotus Pond in Jubilee Hills, protesting the Union Cabinet's decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh to carve out Telangana. He has been demanding that the Centre reverse its decision.
He also said that the division of state is not possible without a resolution being passed in the state Legislative Assembly.
Several YSRCP activists turned up in large numbers at Lotus Pond to express solidarity with Jagan. (INN)
