The Supreme Court on Friday adjourned the hearing on a petition filed by YSR Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy seeking a stay on the CBI probe on Jagathi Publications and its associate companies, to September 16.
The Apex Court stated that it would hold a hearing on the Jagathi Publications case and the Emaar Properties case separately on 16 September.
Earlier, TDP leader K Yerran Naidu's counsel objected to the hearing of both the said cases on the same day. The Supreme Court then said the cases would be heard separately, and adjourned the cases to September 16.
It may be mentioned that Jagan and Emaar Properties had moved the Supreme Court to stall the on-going CBI probe which was taken up following the High Court's directions. (INN)
