Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) officials today appeared before the CBI, in connection with the Y S Jaganmohan Reddy disproportionate assets (DA) case.
Earlier,
Revenue department officials were called to give statements, as the case involves land allotments to industrialists.
APIIC acts as facilitator for companies, and helps entrepreneurs set up industries.
The allegation in Jagan's case was that the Corporation had overlooked policy, and that large tracts of land were allotted to certain business houses at prices lower than the prevailing rates.
YSR's close aide K V P Ramachandra Rao, the former Chief Minister's personal security guard, and others were called by the CBI for questioning, in the recent past.
Meanwhile, the CBI is being criticized for delaying the process of investigation into Y S Jagan's disproportionate assets case. (INN)
