Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy on Wednesday accused the Congress party of sending a wrong message to the people through its actions over the election of the Chairman of the Telangana Legislative Council.

Speaking on the floor of the House, Nayani said that it was strange that the Congress has boycotted the elections after fielding its candidate for the post.

He said that the Congress' walkout from the Council was ridiculous, and it clearly exhibited the confused state of mind of the Congress leaders.

He alleged that the Congress party had brought disrepute to the House through its actions, and said that its leaders must tender an unconditional apology. (INN)
