Won't Pardon My Son If Guilty: Ravela Kishore Babu
The Andhra Pradesh minister said that if his son Susheel was found guilty in woman harassment case, the latter would definitely have to face the consequences.
Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Minister Ravela Kishore Babu today said that if his son Susheel was found guilty in woman harassment case, the latter would definitely have to face the consequences.
The minister reacted when the Leader of the Opposition in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Y S Jaganmohan Reddy raised the issue of the minister's son Susheel allegedly stalking a woman teacher in Banjara Hills recently, in the Assembly.
Kishore Babu said that he himself had asked his son to surrender before the Banjara Hills police after coming to know that a case was registered against him.
"I myself will not pardon my son if he is found guilty in the case," the minister said.
Earlier, when the session began in the morning, Jagan and Ravela traded allegations against each other over the issue.
The minister said, "The TDP always gives respect to women, and the alleged victim is like my daughter. I asked the police to probe the allegations."
Ravela also countered saying how Jagan was the prime accused in sensational Paritala Ravindra murder case, but former chief minister late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy had gotten his son's name deleted from the case.
"But I would never do something like that if my son were involved in the case," he said.
Jagan wondered that the minister was actually alleging that he (Jagan) was involved in the Susheel incident, when the proof was clear in the CCTV footage. Jagan also asked how Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was allowing the Social Welfare minister to continue in his cabinet after the incident.
