Even as the ruling TRS continues to lure Congress members of the Telangana Assembly and Council, Congress MLC Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy politely rejected the feelers.
Talking to mediapersons in the Assembly, Reddy said that neither his elder brother and former minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy nor he had any plans to defect to the ruling Party.
His remarks assume significance as a section of the media claimed that the brothers were keen to join the ruling Party.
"Though the TRS is inviting seniors and prominent leaders from various Parties, and some have indeed defected in recent times, we will not do so," he said.
Unwilling to deny that the TRS had knocked on their doors, too, with an invitation to get into the its fold, he said, "We fought for the statehood, and our Party High Command accorded it. We are loyal to our Party for that, and for giving us everything," he said.
It is clear then that the Komatireddy brothers are averse to succumbing to the feelers of the TRS.
