TPCC chief Revanth Reddy welcomed Gurnatha Reddy and his son Jagadiswar Reddy, who is also the Municipal Chairman of the Kodangal municipality, to the Congress.
The ruling BRS received a jolt today from the rival Congress.
Party leader and former MLA Gurnatha Reddy joined the grand old party.
TPCC chief Revanth Reddy welcomed Gurnatha Reddy and his son R Jagadiswar Reddy, who is also the Municipal Chairman of the Kodangal municipality, to the Congress.
Gurnatha Reddy had been maintaining a distance from the programs of the BRS for a long time now as he reportedly felt that he was being ignored by the ruling party.
It is learnt that he had not been invited for an official program of minister K T Rama Rao who had come to Kosgi town recently. Despite this Reddy went to meet KTR at the public meeting. However, the police did not allow him to meet KTR citing that he did not have a pass to meet the minister.
Reddy was deeply hurt after the incident, and expressed his displeasure to his supporters.
Reddy has been a tall leader of the Kodangal Assembly constituency, and was elected from the constituency six times.
