No Alcohol In Hyderabad For 3 Days

The city police order wine shops to remain closed in the wake of certain "agitational programmes" expected to take place.

City Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma on Wednesday ordered the closure of wine shops and bars attached to restaurants in the city limits, for three days, from June 13.

The Commissioner said that the wine shops and bars were being closed in the interest of public peace and tranquility, and in connection with "agitational programmes called for by some groups".

Wine shops and bars attached to restaurants will remain closed from 6pm on June 13th to June 15th. However, bars in star hotels and registered clubs have been exempted from the orders. (INN)
