Former whip A Anil Kumar on Saturday offered to quit politics if TRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao indeed won the elections from the Gajwel Assembly segment by a 50,000+ majority, as the latter claimed he would.
Speaking to media persons in Hyderabad, Anil Kumar ridiculed KCR's claim of winning the Gajwel seat by such a high margin.
He said that he would take political sanyas if KCR was proved right. Else, he said that KCR should quit politics instead.
He said that KCR habitually made tall claims, and never stood by his own words.
Anil Kumar also sought to know the reason behind KCR turning a critic of AICC President Sonia Gandhi.
He said that KCR had praised Sonia Gandhi after the passing of the Telangana Bill in Parliament, and even visited her along with all his family members. KCR should then explain the reasons that led him to change his stand, Anil Kumar demanded.
He added that KCR had played no role in the formation of Telangana.
He also claimed that the Congress party would form the government on its own. If it fell short of some numbers, then the Party might seek the support of the MIM and the CPI, he said. (INN)
