Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today reiterated that the Congress government's aim was to make Telangana a trillion dollar economy.
Participating in a leadership summit at the Indian School of Business (ISB) at its campus in Gachibowli, the Chief Minister also said that the State government was working at making Hyderabad compete with cities like New York, London, Paris, Tokyo and Seoul, and not just with other cities in the country.
"Hyderabad is the best destination for investments in the world. That needs to be leveraged to develop it into a 600 billion dollar city, which is necessary to achieve the goal of making the State itself a trillion dollar economy," Reddy said.
He also said that the ISB should help promote Telangana in every part of the world, and appealed to its students to speak with investors, businessmen and common people about Telangana and Hyderabad during their visits to other places.
"All the ISB students are young and intelligent, and possess exceptional leadership qualities. My government is willing to work with ISB for two to three years. We may not offer big salaries, but we will give good opportunities and big challenges," he added.
ISB students were brand ambassadors for Hyderabad, Telangana and the new India, and should maintain direct contact with the people and give equal respect to the poor and the rich, and to the young and the old, and mingle with them as friends, he said.
"We can achieve anything if we are in contact with the people. Also, courage is most important for every great leader. Apart from intelligence, skill and hard work, the capability to take risks is also important. We should take risks if we want to do great things. And great leaders are always ready to sacrifice. Sometimes, we lose many things in the struggle," Reddy said.
