Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president Dr N Raghuveera Reddy said that the Congress would humbly accept the verdict of the people in the municipal elections.
Speaking to media persons at Indira Bhavan in Hyderabad, Reddy said that victory and defeat are part of political life. Irrespective of the outcome of the elections, the Congress party would remain among the people and try to win back their confidence, he said.
He admitted that there was a lot of anger among the people of the Seemandhra region over the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. That was the reason why they did not vote in favour of the Congress party in the municipal elections, he said.
Reddy said that the APCC would review the party's performance after May 16, and would chalk out a strategy to regain the confidence of the people of the region. (INN)
