The last date for regularisation of illegal water and sewerage connections has been extended by a month, till October 30th.
According to Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) officials, the last date had earlier been notified as September 30th.
HMWSSB officials stated that the decision to extend the scheme had been taken after public representatives requested the Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development Anam Ramnarayan Reddy to do so. Ramnarayan Reddy, in turn, told the board officials to see if the scheme could be extended since many consumers were willing to regularise their water connections.
The board officials revealed that around 200 connections were regularised in the last week of September alone.
A statement from the board said that this would be the last chance for consumers to avail of the scheme and regularise their water connections.

no where it is mentioned any details regarding the amount to be paid for connection charges for regularisation of water connection. Only three years water charges+service charges has been mentioned but nothing about connection charges. Will the water board give further details.
