Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today held a review meeting with officials from the irrigation department and the Hyderabad Water Board at his residence.
During the meeting, he reviewed the plans to transfer 20 TMC of Godavari waters to meet Hyderabad's drinking water needs.
The CM directed officials to prepare a comprehensive report on lifting Godavari waters from the Kondapochamma and Mallanna Sagar reservoirs.
He instructed them to conduct a detailed study to assess the availability of water in the resources and calculate the total cost of water transfer from each reservoir.
Reddy also directed the officials to prepare a procedure for inviting tenders by December 1, and suggested coordinating with Mission Bhagiratha officials.
Principal Secretary to the Municipal Administration Department Dana Kishore, HMWSSB MD Ashok Reddy, Irrigation Secretary Prashant J Patil and other officials participated in the meeting.
