In their new year almanacs (panchangams), reputed astrologers made mostly dire predictions.
War-like situations would prevail in all the four corners of the world, and wars would become inevitable during the Telugu New Year (Sri Krodhi nama samvatsara) that commenced yesterday, according to predictions made by astrologers.
In their new year almanacs (panchangams), Mrs Mulugu Shivajyothi, daughter of late Mulugu Ramalingeswara Varaprasadu Siddhanti (who was an acclaimed astrologer), and Pidaparthi Poornayya Siddhanthi referred to the threat of wars during the New Year.
Sivajyothi said that Haryana, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir and Gujarat should be on high alert due to the threats of war and the menace of terrorists. Maoists and terrorists would create problems in the country, they said.
The following are among the other predictions made by the astrologers: New Zealand, Netherlands, China and Japan will face shortages of rain, fire accidents, earthquakes and new viruses. Mexico will also face natural calamities and diseases. Canada and America will face many difficulties and calamities. Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Germany will face bad financial crises.
In India, they said that the gun culture would increase. There would be a spurt in cybercrimes, economic offenses, train accidents, land grabbing and double registrations cases, fire accidents, water-related deaths, murders, suicides and incidents of human trafficking.
Jharkhand, Bengal, Bihar and Rajasthan will face hailstorms and cyclones resulting in loss of lives and property, according to them. Anti-Hindu and anti-India clashes will take place in the country. Train accidents will also result in losses of lives. Road accidents will also increase. New viruses will also break out, and children will be most of the victims.
Prices of petrol, diesel, LPG, vegetables, clothing and transport will register hikes. The role of women in crimes will also go up.
There will be shortages of foodgrains due to various reasons, resulting in unprecedented poverty and hunger.
