Scores of victims of the tragic Visakhapatnam gas leakage accident and workers of LG Polymers today staged a massive protest with the bodies of those who lost their lives in the incident, at the entrance of the company's factory.
They demanded that the management of the company do justice to them.
The DGP of Andhra Pradesh Gautam Sawang entered the factory when the protest was on. Seeing this, the workers of the company tried to barge into the factory. However the police stopped them by closing the gates.
Some affected women of the area fell at the feet of the DGP and pleaded with him to do justice to them.
The police needed to struggle a lot to send the DGP away after his inspection of the gas leakage area. Some protesters even tried to stop the DGP but in vain. Members of the NDRF and the police formed a protective cover around the DGP and provided security to him.
The protesters made it clear that they would continue their agitation till they got justice.
