Symbolising the rise of infighting and the power struggles in the Telangana movement, the Kakatiya University Vidyarthi Polikeka at Warangal ended in a ruckus today, with the students splitting into two groups.
Mandakrishna Madiga, the head of the MRPS, was heckled off stage by the KU students, who hurled water packets at him. MRPS supporters were raising slogans against KCR, and this led to a split among the students. There was also an attack on Desapati Srinivas, who went back in protest. So did Swami Agnivesh, who did not speak at all.
The pandemonium that happened resulted in the police resorting to a lathi-charge against the students, and the Polikeka ending a half-hour before schedule.
