Telangana TDP leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Sunday challenged Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to spend one day in the Kakatiya University of Warangal without any security.
Speaking to media persons at the NTR Trust Bhavan, Errabelli described KCR's three-day Warangal visit as an eye-wash.
He said that KCR had conducted the tour under a strong security cover, and had ensured that people did not express their anger.
He said to test the real mood of the people, the Chief Minister should spend one day in the Kakatiya University giving freedom to the students to express their views.
He said that lakhs of students, who had participated in the Telangana statehood agitation, were angry over the non-release of scholarships, non-implementation of Financial Assistance for Students of Telangana (FAST) schemes, and delay in recruitments.
He said that the state government had not called for fresh applications for scholarships although the ongoing academic year was coming to an end.
Errabelli also criticised KCR for rebuking the officials over the issue of new ration cards. He said that the state government itself had created confusion among the officials. So far, five to six different GOs had been issued in connection with new ration cards, and the officials were confused about the implementation, he said.
He demanded an all-party meeting to discuss the issue of new ration cards. (INN)
