Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal have announced that they are against celebrations of Valentine's Day, even as human rights activists are trying to keep a vigil on probable attacks by these outfits.
VHP and Bajrang Dal have announced that couples seen outside will be taken to their parents and given counseling
Meanwhile, the State Human Rights Commission has asked the police commissioner to provide security, in the wake of the threats from VHP and Bajrang Dal.
The SHRC's request to the Commissioner comes in the wake of a complaint filed by a lawyer, who said that VHP and Bajrang Dal have threatened to marry off couples seen in public places. (INN)

I wish the VHP and Bajrang Dal dont harass people in the name of Indian Culture. Where were these"Holy Cows" when the rapes and murders happened? Where were they when fully clothed girls were criticised for playing music on stage? Where were they when terrorists struck in the heart of Mumbai? They are cowards and therefore will attack only hapless citizens. These are the very people who will rape and loot at the first opportunity. By all means be alert and if you see a girl being molested please rescue her, but dont marry off brothers and sisters. That would be incest!
