VHP, Bajrang Dal Tell People To Avoid Valentine's Day
The Telangana units of both organizations have urged the people to boycott Valentine's Day celebrations, terming Valentine after whom the day is celebrated, as a traitor of Rome.
Right wing Hindu organization Viswa Hindu Parishad and its affiliated organization Bajrang Dal have once again decided to boycott the upcoming Valentine's Day celebrations in Telangana.
The state units of both organizations have urged the people of the state to not take part in any Valentine's Day celebrations, terming the Valentine after whom the day is celebrated every year, as a traitor of Rome.
Activists of the organizations have alleged that some multinational companies (MNCs) were misleading the youth and promoting the celebrations just to make money. The Pranth Pramukh of the Bajrang Dal, Subhash, said that they were not against love or lovers but only against the MNCs. He also said that the people of the country should instead celebrate Hindu festivals like Ugadi, Dassara and Sankranthi.
