Seemandhra leaders slam at vested elements politicising Telangana issue for political mileage
Hyderabad | 17th September 2010
Congress leaders from Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions alleged on Friday that some vested elements had politicized the Telangana statehood issue to obtain political mileage.

The Seemandhra MPs and MLCs convened a meeting on Friday at the Assembly Committee Hall under the leadership of Government Whip S Sailajanath to chalk out their future course of action on the various developments taking place on the political horizon in the state.

Talking to media persons at the Media Point at Assembly premises, Sailajanath stated that some elements had politicised the Telangana statehood issue in order to get some benefits.

Sailajanath also condemned the politicizing of Telangana lawyers’ agitation and ransacking of High Court premises.

The leaders urged the party High Command to initiate action against Telangana Congress leaders for speaking against interests of party.

The leaders also criticized the politicisation of Group-1 preliminary examination in the name of implementation of 42% quota.

Seemandhra leaders urged the government to initiate action against Telangana Joint Action Committee convener Prof Kodanda Ram for making inflammatory speeches, hurting the sentiments of people and creating law and order problems.

The Seemandhra delegation would meet Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy and Chief Minister K Rosaiah in the evening seeking protection of Seemandhra interests.
