A criminal court at Nampally, on Thursday, remanded K Venka Reddy, who was arrested in the case of the leakage of call data records of CBI joint director V V Lakshminarayana, to judicial custody till 6 August.
Venka Reddy was swent to judicial remand after CID sleuths produced him before the court after his arrest in Maharashtra. He was later shifted to the Cherlapally Central Jail.
Earlier, the CID officials had sought 5 days of his custody.
CID Additional Director General S V Ramana Murthy said that Venka Reddy, who is the vice-president of Ind-Bharat Agencies (Maharashtra), had confessed to having committed the crime at the instance of the accused in the call data record leakage. (INN)
