The state government has decided to pay Rs 2,000 each to the Andhra Pradesh pilgrims who were affected due to the Uttarakhand floods.
In addition to the food, accommodation and medical assistance being provided to the pilgrims returning from Chardham, the government has also decided to give them Rs. 2,000 for the purchase of clothing, and to meet other incidental expenses.
In a memo issued by Chief Secretary P K Mohanty on Sunday, the Resident Commissioner of AP Bhavan has been asked to take the neccessary action for disbursement of Rs. 2,000 to each of the flood-hit pilgrims. (INN)
