The use at public places of sound systems emitting sounds at levels beyond permissible limits, has been prohibited for 15 days, from September 17.
Hyderabad | 16th September 2015
Hyderabad City Police Commissioner Mahendar Reddy has prohibited the use, at public places and processions, of high volume sound systems emitting sounds at levels beyond permissible limits, for 15 days, from 6 am on September 17 to October 1. Any person, including a DJ, violating the order will be prosecuted.

The CP said that the department had taken this decision as such acts were causing hardship and distress to children, aged persons, patients and students.

Reddy also issued orders prohibiting public meetings and processions in the city without prior permission of the relevant zonal police officers. The order will be in force from 6 am on September 18 to 6 am on September 24.
