With the race for the two MLC posts in the graduates' constituencies of Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar and Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda really heating up now, it looks like the TRS has been able to gain an advantage that might tilt the scales in its favour.
The Telangana State Urdu Trained Teachers' Association (TSUTTA) today said that it would extend its full support to the pink party's candidates in the upcoming MLC elections.
TSUTTA President Mohammed Moizuddin and General Secretary Farooq Ali handed over a letter in this regard to party MLC K Kavitha at a meeting in the capital.
The development signals the success of the attempts of the TRS top brass to mobilise support for the party's two candidates for the posts. Endorsements from various other employee associations, including the Government Junior College Lecturers Association, also suggest this.
The party leadership has been very invested in campaigning for Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar candidate Surabhi Vani Devi, the daughter of former Prime Minister late P V Narasimha Rao who is making her political debut with these elections, and Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda candidate, sitting MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy.
TRS working president K T Rama Rao is spearheading the campaign. Meanwhile, ministers T Harish Rao, Talasani Srinivas Yadav and V Prashanth Reddy are
campaigning on behalf of Vani Devi, who is new to the field. Srinivas Yadav even accompanied her to a
campaign meeting in KBR Park, earlier this month.
