Nuziveedu Telugu Desam Party MLA Chinnam Ramakotaiah, on Thursday, announced that he will not contest from the TDP in the 2014 elections from the constituency.
Talking to media persons, Chinnam Ramakotaiah said that he had taken this decision as a section of leaders in the constituency was running a "parallel rule" and creating hurdles for him.
Ramakotaiah has said he won't contest in the 2014 elections even if the TDP gives him a ticket from the constituency.
Ramkotaiah said that he has no capability to ensure the victory of the Telugu Desam Party, as a section of leaders was opposed to his candidature.
"I am unable to survive in this dirty and conspiracy politics (sic). That's why I have taken this decision, putting an end to speculation by the media," he said.
Responding to a question, he said that he was yet to take a decision over continuing in active politics.
"I will announce a decision soon in this regard after consulting my well-wishers and the people of my constituency," he said. (INN)
