Two Officials Of GWMC Trapped By ACB For Corruption
Revenue Inspector Shaik Rabbani and Bill Collector Muppidi Ranjith were arrested while allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000.

Two officials of the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation, Ward 7, were today trapped by ACB officials in front of Srusti Hospital, Pochama Maidan, when the former allegedly demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 15,000 from a Singam Shetty Lavan Kumar of Nizampura Colony, to do an official favour.
According to the ACB sleuths, the principal accused Shaik Rabbani, Revenue Inspector, of Kashibugga Circle-1, and Muppidi Ranjith, Bill Collector (Outsourcing), demanded and accepted Rs 15,000 from Kumar to process the work of bifurcation and allotment of new house numbers pertaining to his ancestral house.
The bribe amount was recovered from the possession of Ranjith, and the chemical test was positive.\
Both the accused were arrested and produced before the First Additional Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases, Hyderabad.
The ACB officials appealed to the public to contact the toll-free number 1064 of the ACB office if any public servant demanded a bribe for doing any official favour.
