Two more Congress MLAs of Telangana are preparing to join the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
Chevella MLA Yadaiah and Dornakal MLA Redya Naik on Thursday called on Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao at his camp office. During the hour-long meeting, the Congress MLAs reportedly gave their consent to joining the TRS.
Neither the MLAs nor the TRS leaders disclosed the details of the interaction with the Chief Minister. However, sources said that both the MLAs had agreed to join the TRS in the near future.
If both the MLAs join the ruling party, then the strength of the TRS in the Legislative Assembly will increase to 73. So far, 10 MLAs belonging to the Congress, TDP, YSRCP and BSP have switched over to the TRS. (INN)
